About Me
Hi, I’m Lisa, founder of Little Play Tribe—a small business inspired by a major life shift. I left the corporate world during maternity leave, and like many new mums, I found those early days unexpectedly challenging. It wasn’t until I began attending baby classes that I truly understood the powerful role play can have in building connection, supporting development, and bringing joy. That realisation transformed my experience of motherhood.
I also recognised that, in the wake of Covid, many parents returning to work didn’t have the same access to baby and toddler classes—and may not have had the chance to discover the value of play in the same way I did. I wanted to change that by creating playful tools that remove the guesswork, nurture creativity, and make meaningful, screen-free connection easier for both children and parents.
That’s where my love for playdough began. This simple, timeless material is far more than just a toy. It fosters imagination, problem-solving, and cognitive development, while also building fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Beyond the developmental benefits, playdough supports emotional wellbeing—encouraging speech, calming anxiety, and helping children self-regulate through sensory play.
From our base near the Cotswolds, where I live with my husband and two young children (aged six and two), I now design eco-conscious, screen-free playdough kits and sensory resources that encourage learning, self-expression, and play—wherever families are. Our small, passionate team is made up of mums with backgrounds in childcare and child development, and we’re committed to flexibility, kindness, and quality.
We’re proud to champion fellow small UK businesses, sourcing packaging, materials, and design services locally whenever we can. So far, we’ve supported thousands of families—including many with children with additional needs—and we’re only just getting started.
